A newly completed Barangay Health Station in Barangay Poblacion, Lupon, Davao Oriental is now operational and ready to cater the primary health care needs of the residents of Mandalihan Village. Mayor Erlinda D. Lim, during the inauguration said that this additional Health Station is another community driven project under the BUB funds provided by the national government. Effective and efficient delivery of basic health services has been the priority of her administration.

“This is another testament in our local government’s efforts to make the public health services more accessible to our constituents wherein family planning and reproductive health care for women is also our priority,” Mayor Lim further reiterated.

The Barangay Health Station project in Mandalihan Village intends to decongest the Main Rural Health Center in Lupon by focusing its basic services to primary health cases or those that are low-risk, less serious or uncomplicated cases for all neighbouring residents of Purok Sta. Cruz, San Pedro, Aroma 1 & 2 in this part of the barangay, funded under the Bottom-Up Budgeting Program of the DILG.
