The Honorable Sangguniang Bayan Member Harold A. Montes, Committee Chairman on Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, received the Award in behalf of Mayor Erlinda D. Lim as Top 100 Municipalities implementing the BoatR Program for the quick completion of the Municipal Fishing Vessels and Gears Registry for the local governments.
Along with this recognition is the 2-Million Pesos Fisheries Livelihood Projects for the promotion of livelihood to all registered fishermen in the Municipality of Lupon.
The BoatR o National Program for Municipal Fishing Vessels and Gears Registration is the second stage of FishR o National Fisherfolk Registration Program. It aims to help local government units to complete the Municipal Fisherfolk Registry according to R.A. 8550 and in responding to Executive Order no. 305 s. 2004.
This award of recognition was held on October 21, 2016, in the Philippine Coconut Authority compound, Diliman, Quezon City, given by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
