Mayor Erlinda D. Lim received the Safety Seal Certification this morning from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for the Local Government Unit of Lupon. The award was given to recognize the municipality’s compliance with the safety and health protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Covid-19.
The municipality has encouraged not only businesses but also local government offices to comply with the minimum public health standards to contain the spread of Covid-19 as part of the safe reopening of the economy.
The safety seal program is an inter-agency effort among the DILG, Department of Health (DOH), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Tourism (DOT), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
It grants establishments a safety seal to be displayed indicating that the building or establishment they are entering is compliant with health protocols against Covid-19.
The Municipality of Lupon will continue to strengthen its Inspection Teams to ensure the program will be sustained and will remain effective not only in Municipal Hall, but across the business sector.
