A program initiated by the Land Transportation Office – Mati District Office in cooperation with the Local Government Unit of Lupon – the first municipality recipient of the program under the headship of Mr. Joelito T. Mandaya – Supervising TRO, and will continue throughout the province of Davao Oriental.
During his Monday morning message at the LGU’s flag-raising ceremony, Mandaya extended thanks to the Honorable Mayor Erlinda D. Lim, Sangguniang Bayan Members and the LGU Officials for tapping the office to promote general safety and compliance with traffic laws. He also announced the 5-year validity of Driver’s License effective November this year.
Among the LTO’s outreach program in the Municipality of Lupon includes the following:
- Field inspection of tricycle and LGU owned motor vehicles due for registration;
- Attend SB Session and discuss relevant issues and concerns of the tricycle and single MC drivers and operators for appropriate legislative action; and
- Road Safety Advocacy meeting with TODA Officers and other transportation organizations.
Meanwhile, Hon. Sani C. Hanani – SB Member and Chairman on Transportation Committee extends his deep appreciation to the said agency to bring its services closer to the people.
