With many investments and developments going on in the locality, the First Class Municipality of Lupon, Davao Oriental will soon have its new and bigger municipal hall building.
The building is set to build at the proposed Government Center along the National Hi-way in Batasan, a kilometer away from the town proper.
The move will also help decongest the traffic problem in the Poblacion area where the current municipal hall stands. Aside from the municipal hall, the local government is also eyeing the transfer of the public transport terminal along the National Hi-way to comprehensively decongest traffic.
Mayor Erlinda Lim said, “This is a dream-come-true project of our local government aimed to decongest the ever-increasing vehicular traffic in the town proper.”
The new municipal hall would symbolize a new and faster pace of development for the town and for more efficient and effective service delivery to all constituents.
The Land Bank of the Philippines earlier agreed to finance the construction of the new municipal hall building through a loan agreement with the local government.
