The Department of the Interior and Local Government together with the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council of Lupon, Davao Oriental conducted an intensive re-orientation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) as part of its provincial-wide functionality of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council.

The training on August 28-29, 2018 at the Function Hall in Lupon, Davao Oriental was attended by the Local Government Operations Officer Julia A. Masongsong, Chief of Police PCI Kenneth C Lador represented by its deputy, MADAC Action Officer Benjamin B. Pacetes Jr. with his Technical Working Group, and the 21 Punong Barangays and their Functionaries.

The training aimed to re-orient the barangay officials in implementing the guidelines of the functionality and effectiveness of Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council. This also served to further enhance their deeper understanding of the Barangay Drug-Clearing Program in order to come up with precise and specific outputs.

The Barangay Drug Clearing Program was designed to provide a more effective and efficient measure towards preventing and eradicating illegal drug abuse based on Dangerous Drugs Board Regulations No.3, Series of 2017 (Strengthening the Implementation of Barangay Drug Clearing Program).
