The Lim administration continues the legacy of excellence in good governance for the forth straight year, the local government of Lupon was awarded the 2019 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on November 5.
Mayor Erlinda D. Lim received the award from DILG Secretary Eduardo Año at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel. She was accompanied by the Municipal Vice Mayor Santos Q. Alonzo Jr and MLGOO Lucenita Niez in receiving the award onstage.
Lupon is the only municipality in Region XI which have consistently passed the SGLG since 2016.
Mayor Lim said that this achievement is a product of the collective efforts of all the men and women from the local government that contributed to attaining the desired goals on key governance areas following the criteria set by DILG this year.
The SGLG is conferred by the DILG to a Local Government Unit (LGU) for successfully passing the ALL-IN criteria of the seal, which include the seven core components: financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, peace and order, business friendliness and competitiveness, environmental protection, and tourism, culture and the arts.
