When visiting Lupon, Davao Oriental or on your way to the City of Mati and beyond Davao Oriental and back, travelers wanting to bring goodies to home could find the town’s Pasalubong Center along the highway at the Welcome Arc in Barangay Bagumbayan.

While the Pasalubong Center offers a wide variety of local delicacies, other local food and products good as souvenirs which are produced by local entrepreneurs of Lupon.

Aside from this, it will serve as tourist information center that accommodate tourists, locals or foreign who want to find a place to stay and a place to visit while in Lupon, said Hon. Edna B. Bote – Tourism Committee Chairperson.

Mayor Erlinda D. Lim led the inauguration ceremony, said the town’s Pasalubong Center will be a hub of the finest products from Lupon, an infrastructure project established under the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Meanwhile, MLGOO Lucenita L. Niez of the DILG said that the PCF is an incentive to LGUs in the form of financial grant for local development projects that shall be awarded to LGUs that passed the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

The launching and blessing ceremony was also attended by LGU Department Heads, Sangguiang Bayan Members, Lupon Tourism Council, personnel from various sectors of the government, and the stall vendors.
