Members of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) of the Municipality Lupon holds meeting via Zoom conference yesterday to discuss stricter Coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention and control interventions while preserving local economy.
In compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 21-01, s. 2021 jointly issued by the Department of the Interior & Local Government (DILG), Department of Labor & Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), Department of Tourism (DOT), and Department of Health (DOH), LGU-Lupon is set to implement the COVID-19 Safety Seal Certification Program.
The implementation of the Safety Seal aims to increase compliance by private and public facilities with the minimum public health standards such as but not limited to, wearing of face masks and shields, proper hand hygiene, and observance of social distancing.
The COVID-19 Safety Seal will be issued in printed form for free and will be mandatorily displayed conspicuously at all entrance points of establishments and businesses, valid for at least six (6) months upon issuance.
To ensure maximum compliance of said protocol, Mayor Erlinda D. Lim issued an Executive Order No. 09, s. 2021 “AN ORDER ADOPTING THE IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES OF THE SAFETY SEAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAM PURSUANT TO JOINT MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR 21-01 S. 2021, THEREBY CREATING THE SAFETY SEAL INSPECTION AND CERTIFICATION COMMITTEE FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF LUPON, DAVAO ORIENTAL”.
The Committee are comprised of personnel under DILG, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Municipal Health Office, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office, Municipal Information Office and headed by the Business Permit and Licensing Office.
