Local Government Unit of Lupon and PNP officials gathered in Barangay Bagumbayan on Tuesday morning December 6th at 10:00AM for a groundbreaking ceremony to kick off the beginning of the construction of a new Police Station at Batasan, Barangay Bagumbayan, this municipality.
PCSUPT MANUEL RABAGO GAERLAN, Regional Director PRO XI, PSSUPT HARRY G ESPELA, Provincial Director PPO Davao Oriental, PCINSP MIGUELITO M CABAHUG JR, Chief of Police, Lupon MPS and other PNP personnel attended the groundbreaking ceremony that will signal the construction of Lupon Municipal Police Station building.
One of the frontline projects under the PNP Integrated Transformation Program (PNP-ITP) is the Model Police Station (MPS) Project which aims to standardize and enhance police stations in terms of physical infrastructure, police service delivery methods, systems and procedures, and human resource and technical capabilities that greatly impact on efficient and effective delivery of police service in the police station level.
The activity started with an invocation followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. After which, a welcome remark by Municipal Mayor ERLINDA D. LIM, wherein she stressed that said project has long been dream of and sincerely expressed her gratitude to PNP hierarchy for allotting said project.
Before the ceremony ended, an inspirational message was given by the Guest of Speaker PCSUPT MANUEL GAERLAN, Regional Director PRO XI followed by a remarkable dropping of the time capsule.
Said ceremony was attended and witnessed by the different Officials and Heads of Offices of the LGU, employees, and Barangay Council.
Activity ended at around 12:00nn same date with fruitful and significant result.
